questions for 2012

I got this in an email from Jess and thought it would be the perfect blog post. Thanks for the inspiration :) I skipped some of the questions for length's sake, but I kept most of them so ENJOY.

1. What is one thing you would work harder on this year that you did last year? My fitness! I miss being in ridiculous shape from sports, and I'm seriously ready to get back somewhere close to it. Also, I want to work harder at eating better, and cooking more delicious meals for dinner!

2. What is one thing you are happy with that you would keep doing the same from last year to this year? Living with Brett. It's the best thing EVER getting to hang out with each other all the time.

3. If you had to choose one year to go back and re-live (without changing anything) what would it be? Why? This is such a ridiculously hard question to answer Jessica! How can I possibly choose just ONE year to go back to when I've had so many years I would love more than anything to re-visit? OK fine. But this is not the first or last year I would like to re-live, just one of them. I would go back and re-live my senior year of high school. Playing all my sports, having the best time ever with friends, yearbook, my perfect and sweet dog Bo, getting excited for college, driving my subaru, Mr. TJ, 1st and 2nd period announcements, etc...... I could go on forever. This was definitely one of my favorite years and I think it would be SO much fun to re-live it (the good and bad)!

4. Name three events in your life that forever changed you. Have any of these been in the past year? In no particular order... 1. Living in the Netherlands. 2. Getting engaged
3. College

5. What age are you most looking forward to? Why? As of right now, I'm looking forward to 28. At this point Brett and I will be married and maybe thinking about starting a family. I can think of nothing better than that :) Oh, and I'd better have a Social Studies teaching job by then too.

6. What was your favorite moment(s) from last year. So far this year what have your favorite moments been? There were a lot of great moments last year, but obviously one of my favorites was getting engaged. I get to spend forever with Brett, and he's my favorite! This year my favorite moments have been hanging out in NYC with friends, my trip home to Denver was PERFECT, and starting to get into wedding planning has been fun.

8. Look forward to 2022. What would you like your life to look like? Where are you living? Whom with? What kind of job do you have? Kids? Pets? Are you still doing anything the same that you are doing now? What do you do for fun? Are you truly happy? I will be happily married for 9 years, with kids (not sure how many yet), definitely will have a dog, hopefully living in Denver, teaching at an awesome high school with awesome teacher friends, and I will do what I do now for fun which is hanging out with friends and family and all the other super fun stuff I like to do!

9. List three New Year's Resolutions you have this year. 1. To stop biting my nails (this is my #1 resolution literally every year). 2. Start swimming a lot more. I would love to join a master's team. 3. To do the dishes more. I HATE dishes and I should try to contribute more when it comes to this terrible chore.

10. Name one thing that you think would be out of your comfort zone but you would be willing to try in the next year. Ummmm, go skiing. I would for sure be nervous at first since I have only been once, but of course I would be willing to try it again! I want to learn how to ski and dominate some mountains when we eventually move back to CO.

11. Name a crazy, hilarious. scary, adventurous, nerve racking or just ridiculous thing that you would probably never do but if you were to
lose your mind this might be the year to do it in. If I lost my mind this year, I would definitely go sky diving. But only if I lost my mind :)

What would your answers be?? Thanks for the writing prompt Jess!
