the BEST city in the world

I just got back from my spring break trip to the best city ever, Denver! The trip flew by way too fast and I wish I was still there. I have the greatest family and friends and getting to visit them for a whole week was awesome.

Just being in Denver makes me so happy. Adding family and friends to the mix puts my happiness meter off the charts. Not to mention the weather last week was absolutely PERFECT! I obviously had a great time, can you tell?! I have been to a lot of different places, but being home in Denver is like nothing else. I am biased because most of my favorite people live here, but it's still the best city ever. Alright, enough of my love for this amazing city. Let me tell you about my trip!

Since Brett and I got engaged in November, we have been searching for the right place to have our wedding. When he was in Denver in February for work, he had to chance to check out a couple of venues, and this past week I looked at a few with my fam. I am super excited to say that we chose a place and picked a date, so it's official! July 26, 2013 is the day! We will be getting married at the Inverness Hotel and I know it will be beautiful and perfect. I can't wait!

Other than searching for our wedding venue, I got to spend a lot of quality time with my family and friends. I went to the Avs game, ate tons of good food, laughed a lot, enjoyed the weather, hung out downtown, and caught up on everyday things that I have been missing out on while being in Connecticut. It was such a great trip and I am so lucky to have such great people in my life.

For the second week (yes second) of spring break I'll be hanging out in Connecticut enjoying the spring weather. Brett will be gone for work in Florida so I'll be missing him, but he gets to go see his family too so he will have a great time. I promise I will not wait so long to write my next blog post, I need to get on the ball! Hope you all are having a great first day of spring!
